Some patients schedule with one of us solely based on our license.

While that’s totally fine, we wanted to make it clear that the way the two of us practice at Movement Upgraded is nearly identical. We believe the two professions should be the same profession.

The licenses just give us access to treat patients. Just because Dr. Ryan has a chiropractic license doesn’t mean he only treats back pain and performs adjustments. And just because Dr. Jen has a physical therapy license doesn’t mean she only treats muscles and solely prescribes exercise.

We are both practitioners who treat the “movement system,” the collection of body systems that interact to move our body.

We both treat back pain. We both treat joint- and muscle-related problems. We both treat movement-related problems. We also both prescribe exercise and mobility work. We both utilize the same therapeutic techniques, including joint manipulation/mobilization, soft tissue release, IASTM, cupping, and Rocktape. We both give nutritional recommendations. The list goes on. In a nutshell, WE LITERALLY PRACTICE THE SAME.

This should be the norm!

You shouldn’t be able to tell the difference between an awesome chiropractor and an awesome physical therapist.

If you’re on the fence with scheduling with one of us for some reason, especially because of our licenses, please reach out to us. We’re happy to talk and answer any questions you have!
