While this is great, it’s not the only answer. One must realize that a screen is just that: a screen. A screen is not an assessment.

  • Screen –> identifies generalized red flags.
  • Assessment –> identifies specific needs & is diagnostic.

If you screen someone for a squat, and it’s a terrible squat, you don’t know why it’s terrible. It may be a foot, ankle, knee, hip, or spine limitation. Or maybe it’s a motor control dysfunction?

Until you ASSESS the individual joints, you’re essentially guessing.
