Why Does Your Physical Therapy Need To Focus On Movement?

Because most pain is caused by poor movement...
- Maybe you’ve heard that, “Pain is a part of growing old.”
- Maybe you have an old injury or joint problem.
- Maybe you have low back pain.
- Maybe you’ve been told you’ll need a knee replacement. Or that your spine will need fused.
- Or maybe you’ve been told that you have bad arthritis. Or that your joints will soon be “bone on bone.”
All of these problems are caused in part by poor movement.
Sure, dry needling, acupuncture, massage, chiropractic adjustments, cupping, and other manual therapies will help you manage your symptoms, but we don’t want to just manage your symptoms…we want to fix them.
A movement problem requires a movement-based solution.
None of the techniques listed above have anything to do with improving your movement.
The solution for pain-relief & performance enhancement is to prioritize better movement quality through mobility training & functional training.
Moving better is key to living a pain-free life...
To help you improve your movement quality, we need to identify your movement baseline. This is done through our comprehensive movement & joint mobility assessment.
This assessment will provide you with insight on limitations you didn’t even know you had. It will provide you with a movement baseline that includes data on your mobility, flexibility, and asymmetries. This allows us to track your progress over time to see your improvement.
Once we’ve established a movement baseline, we can then determine how to help you improve your movement quality by creating a plan individualized to your needs.

After we find your movement problems, we’ll help you fix them…
After performing our comprehensive movement & joint mobility assessment to uncover your movement problems, we will help you fix them.
We’ll create an individualized movement program tailored to your movement dysfunctions, limitations, and goals. We’re firm believers in improving your movement limitations in parallel with your exercise & training goals.
We’ll never tell you to quit doing what you love.
We’ll provide you with exercises and movements that you can incorporate into or alongside your current exercise regimen. This means going beyond traditional stretching & strengthening exercises you might have received from your previous physical therapist or chiropractor.

We're not like other rehab providers...
Unfortunately, most rehab providers only treat pain & rehab you back to your pre-injured state.
What does this mean for returning to your activites?
Often, your pain comes back, you get injured again, or you’re unable to fully participate at the same level.
We’re different…
We’re here to rehab you fully AND improve your overall physical resiliency to help mitigate the chance of future re-injury.
We will help you do anything you love, BETTER.
By assessing your overall movement & mobility and through improving your joint mobility limitations, we will get you back to living your best life.
